I spent the first nine years of my career as a confidential secretary/stenographer in various industries, after which I spent the next 15 years in customer service in the flexographic printing industry. I developed my computer and management skills, working in an ISO 9000 certified organization.

In January 2002, I became a self-employed Administrative Assistant and contracted my services to my previous employers in their new Human Resource Department, and developed and carried out a training programme on using the company's printing management software.

Since then, I have assisted an ophthalmologist with setting up his new practice and provided support with his duties as secretary of the Opthalmological Society of Trinidad and Tobago; a new optometric practice with creating their filing system, computerizing their recording and accounting procedures, managing their cash flow and various administrative duties. I have also prepared novel manuscripts and screenplays; executive biographies, resumes and CVs; survey questionnairres, marketing briefs, tender documents and proposals; artwork and print brokering.
